– Born Friday, August 12, 2023 – Allow us to introduce you to Augustus – Gus, for short! This hoglet’s name is a nod to his August birth month. Augustus is slowly losing all of his stripes, but you can still enjoy watching Gus zoom around his yard, nudging mom, Zena, along the way. He also makes time to wallow, forage for snacks, have a nice scratch on a rock, zoom a little more, get ‘picked up’ by mom while simultaneously rooting in the dirt, and move a log that was clearly out of place. Such strength for a young hog!
Guests can visit Gus, Zena and Gus’ big sister, Pinto, in African Rift Valley.
